Project Overview

Farmtech indoor farming accessible to people with varying levels of experience. It addresses challenges such as limited knowledge, environmental management, and crop optimization. The platform offers easy-to-use tools and resources to simplify farming, helping users grow healthy plants.

Goal

Design a comprehensive platform that helps individuals manage indoor farming efficiently by offering personalized crop suggestions, real-time monitoring of environmental conditions, and AI-powered insights to optimize growth, resource usage, and overall productivity.

Problem

As urbanization limits outdoor space, many people are turning to indoor farming but face challenges like lack of knowledge, managing conditions, and finding affordable tools. Existing solutions can be complicated and expensive, leading to poor crop yields. Smart Farm simplifies indoor farming with an easy-to-use platform that helps users grow more productive crops efficiently

My Impact

For this project, I validated the need for an all-in-one indoor farming platform that supports both experienced farmers and beginners, addressing their unique challenges in crop management, environmental control, and community interaction.

Research

For this  part of the project I decided to explore top rated app care plants and compare key features and see what problems they address. I discovered that almost all of them provide basic care plant advice user can access after purchasing the plant, in most of cases after getting premium access

I used task flows to break down the steps users take to accomplish key actions in the app. This makes it easier to understand their journey, spot potential issues, and improve the overall experience.
